“The Red Lion Inn seems caught between its loyal pub restaurant clientele and the lure of the takeaway trade, impacting service speed, though the food is generally well-received and valued. The atmosphere can suffer from delivery drivers, but the core business as a restaurant holds strong appeal. It's a business that needs to decide what it wants to be.”

Service Lapses Dampened the Stay

full englishdecent breakfastbathroom fanloud fan
Breakfast was decent with a good full English also cereals, and plenty of toast.
The bathroom fan was loud and rattley. The bedding was outdated, faded, and mismatched, a bit off-putting. I had a window to nowhere, and only a net curtain, what's the point? The carpet looked very old and musty.

The staff were really friendly. The location WAS good. I enjoyed the breakfast. There was a nice selection of items available.
My room had very little natural light. It seemed like there were no windows at all, so there were no views available. There was only one towel provided, which WASN'T ideal.
